Oh, my homeland The Philippines....

The news about the stampede at the Ultra leaving at least 73 people dead and scores hurt drove me to tears - no actually weeping before the Lord concerning the Philippines. The incident is a glaring representation of how much poverty in the country has left thousands, nope millions, in utter desperation for any chance at bettering their lives (the game show the masses lined up for apparently was offering cash prizes, with the jackpot at one million pesos). Reminds me of the massive brain-drain and exodus of Filipinos to foreign lands in an attempt to escape the depressing economic and political situation in the Philippines. A sad sad situation. Nothing can beat the land of one's birth if conditions are right, take it from me who's been away for 11 years now.
Anyway, here's my prayer with weeping to the Lord:
"Father God, turn your eyes upon the Philippines, and by your grace and mercy redeem its people from poverty. Comfort the downhearted and destitute please. Raise up godly people in all spheres of society, from the top to the lowest ranks. May Your Holy Spirit sweep through the land, to cleanse it and cause a mighty revival. Our hope lies in You Lord. Save the Filipinos for the Philippines for the sake of your children who cries out to you for help. I know you have a special heart for my homeland Lord, thank You in advance for what you are about to do with it. In the most precious name of the Lord Jesus I pray. Amen"
The Lord God's promise:
"If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

ate umeboshi (japanese for plum), di nadala ni pamangkin yung kimono nga pala, sa airport na lang kami nagkita noon eh kulang sa horas kasi.imemeyl ko na lang sa yo, ate plum.

kasalanan kasi ng tv stations yang nangyari na yan, kundi sa pagmamanipula nila ng vulnerability ng mga tao di sana mangyayari ang ganyan. tapos yung ibang politician kanya kanya na naman ng papel de liha sa sisihan at bangayan. someday, someday, magbago sana ang pananaw ng mga tao sa atin at wag ng maging mga gahaman.

Oo nga, watched a show last night where sinabi na dapat i-blame ang Ultra tragedy sa pamahalaang Arroyo... o di ba? ang galing ng logic, nyek :(

nyeks, viliv talaga ako sa logic ng Pinoy! dehins ko nga rin maintindihan ang logic hinggil sa technical culpability ni Revillame ayun sa defense minister (ba yun?). eh hanu yun, talk show host? nong malay nun sa set-up, safety practices ng organizers vis-a-vis actual human traffic nung haraw na yun? personalan kse eh, politiko de circo, pinag-iinitan lang kse si kawawang Willie, kse artista.

sabi ng ibang witnesses di raw sigurado yung version ng sumigaw ng bomba, pero malaki ang probability. ang cause daw talaga yata eh yung sheer weight nung crowd rushing to the gatess...tsk tsk, hasan na yang Willie na yan, kelangan ko ng cash pangparenovate ng bahay ko sa Vegas...:).
