Hasta la vista.....

Hindi ako makatulog and it's 2:28 am, must be from overindulging on cappucino ice cream. But got lots to do - packing, cleaning up my place, pedicuring, and other last minute stuff.

Anyways, hasta la vista everybody! See yeah again soon, and pray that my guardian angels will abound...:)

Actually what I had in mind was the a la carte dinner I'm supposed to go to at the resort, where apparently, people tend to get dressy. I was looking for something summery and it looked perfect if not for my pag-aalinlangan as a manang and in upholding the "don't tempt others" rule.

Siguro mas malakas pa loob ko if I had a friend for company, eh ala naman kse akong kasama kundi si imaginary Brad or Keanu? Tapos eto pa, nung sinukat ko itong uber sexy top na to eh, ehehehe....super medyo labas yung valley in between my dibdib. Eh kse naman the top is worth so much more than the sale price of $ 9.99 I got it for noh? Although I don't think I'll have enough courage to wear it for my lambada night, it was too pretty to resist.

What dya think?

Sun, Sand and Surf....ooops, Cigar ?

I thought I needed at least a week of massive brain cobwebs clearing(bcc) in a tropical beachfront secluded get-away (miss ko pa ang Boracay :(). The ocean afterall has been my lifelong remedy for such a malady (bcc). Anyway, I found the most ideal and closest place (a mere 4 hours away plane ride from TO + 1 hour bus ride to the resort) I could get to ASAP.....and it's in CUBA!!!

Yipeee...I'm off to Cuba on Saturday! Jibacoa, Varadero in particular, about 1.5 hrs. away from Havana. I'll be on my own, enjoying the following setting (as described on the net)for one full week:

Nestled on 19 acres overlooking Arroyo Bermejo beach and surrounded by beautiful mountains, this SuperClubs hotel is the perfect setting for a wedding, a honeymoon, or a secluded holiday (just what I need!) away from the hustle and bustle. This tropical hideaway, situated mid-way between Varadero and Havana, offers superb food and 'round the clock activities, including a 24-hour Jacuzzi in the garden area for a midnight dip.

Of course, I won't miss a day trip to "time-frozen ('50's)" Havana and see first-hand the fruit of Fidel's political masterpiece. Might even get the chance to take a ride on one of those old Chevy taxis roaming the city's dusty roads.

This resort came highly recommended by a co-worker who has been to Breezes, Jibacoa three times, mainly for scuba diving. So yeah, I readily dumped my Panama plans in favor of beautiful Cuba, as those who've been there claim. I hear the beauty of the ocean's flora and fauna in this resort is incredible. If I pull enough guts, I might just try wearing the suit and get those free scuba diving lessons offered in my all-inclusive package.

Might bring a small canvas and my oil paints to create an impression of the beach at sunset. Yep, might just do that! Anyway, I'm super excited. Expensive Amanpulo, Bora-Bora, Tahiti and the Maldives can wait for when I'm married to the prince of Kuaili. But Atlantis, Bahamas looks looming in the foreseeable future...:). Hasta la vista, los amigos Cubanos!!!

HuLI!!!!!!

Ayan, natutulog on the job. Mangnenenok ng company time! Huli!!!

Huli!!!

20 Years from now....

Tong baby na to, tititigan mo ng walang sawa. Kakagigil!

And the Truth Will Set You Free...

Click here to go to his site.
Click here for more about his story.

I just came from church where the speaker was Pastor Wally Magdangal. A Filipino pastor who was sentenced to die for blasphemy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia but was miraculously released five minutes (on December 25, 1992) prior to his execution. This guy has been all over the world, preaching to thousands of multi-cultural audiences as was revealed to him in a vision by the Lord when he was just a babe in the faith. God indeed took him up to his earnest prayer in those early days, "Father, USE ME."

In chains and shackles, Pastor Wally endured constant beatings, floggings, brain-washing, indoctrination, hunger, thirst and at the end of the tortures, thrown back to rest in his 3 x 4 feet cell filled with human waste. It was in the darkest nights of his soul amidst unimaginable physical sufferings that he experienced angels, a personal visitation from the Lord Jesus, the hug of the Holy Spirit - ecstacy during floggings (no pain but pure ecstasy) and the most wonderful miracle of converting hardened Muslim criminals imprisoned with him. Pastor Wally's cry nowadays to the world is "YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN." Indeed, if you seek the Truth, the Truth shall set you free.

"For by grace you have been SAVED through FAITH, it is the GIFT of GOD, NOT BY WORKS, so that NO MAN CAN BOAST. For whom the Lord SETS FREE is FREE INDEED."

I was one of the sea of multi-racial men and women who fell down "slain" on the floor when Pastor Wally came down from the stage to bring impartation - anointing for freedom in all areas of life and the boldness to preach the gospel. As he placed his hands on both my cheeks and said "Anointing for Freedom," my knees wobbled and as my strength melted under the power of the Holy Spirit, I felt my back touch the floor within seconds. Thank God, there were catchers....:). Nice to be touched by the Holy Spirit this way from time to time..:). I tell ya, I too have experienced angels, the gift of tongues (heavenly language), supernatural revelation and the presence of the Holy Spirit at some points in my life. God is no respecter of man, He simply LOVES EVERYONE and will REVEAL HIMSELF TO ANYONE who sincerely asks Him....:).

In my own world...

I can change the scenes any time I want to, any way I choose to - I call the shots so to speak, ain't that bliss? Anyway, I did some canvas "renovation" the whole day today, yet I guess there'll be a few more weeks of oil paint colour mixing challenges before I finish these frames. Next time, I won't be too excited and sketch the images and backgrounds first before I work on the canvas thereby freeing the paint from doing a risky visual transfer on its own.

My painting studio....

Ay mali, kay Norman Rockwell pala! Ganyan ang gusto ko, glass walls with sun rays filtering through as I work in a makintab-kintab na wooden floors, with the rest of the walls painted spotlessly white and the whole place spacious and airy. Bonus - kelangan a few steps away from the studio, yung beach, dagat.

"I paint life as I would like it to be. If there was sadness in this creative world of mine, it was a pleasant sadness. If there were problems, they were humorous problems."

Lullaby ni Papu...

Pop usually sings this to me on the phone. Lagi kong kanta nowadays, original title niya "Prisoner's Song" (1930s) pero ngayon....

I Wish I Had Someone to Love Me

I wish I had someone to love me,
Someone to call me his own,
Someone to sleep with me nightly,
I weary of sleeping alone.

Meet me tonight in the moonlight,
Meet me tonight all alone.

I wish I had ships on the ocean
Lined with silver and gold
Follow the ship that he sails in.

I wish I had wings of a swallow,
Fly out over the sea
Fly to the arms of my true love
And bring him home safely to me.

Di ako makatulog, dami kse kape inom kanina, sarap kse eh!

Tag-a-Wish...

Mahal kita Panginoong Jesus. Amen.

Jesus Take the Wheel...

Here's a few tidbits from a net site (american.com) about the song and Carrie Underwood:

With six weeks at the pole position of the Billboard Country Singles chart, the song ties Faith Hill's "Breathe" as a runner-up for longest-running No. 1 by a solo female artist, a record held by Connie Smith. Smith's "Once A Day" had an eight-week run at No. 1 in 1964-65. On March 2, 2006, Carrie Underwood went back to American Idol to perform her #1 hit single "Jesus, Take The Wheel".

Goes to show that inspite of the sweep of ungodly postures in its society, deep inside, the heart of America is craving for its roots - its Christian birth as a nation and vice versa. Click here (AND SCROLL down to and click on this link - Jesus Take the Wheel, www2.fanscape.com/carrieunderwood/redirects/jesusvidwinmed.aspx - 1k -) to watch the video.

She was driving last Friday on her way to Cincinnati
On a snow white Christmas Eve
Going home to see her Mama and her Daddy with the baby in the backseat
Fifty miles to go and she was running low on faith and gasoline
It been a long hard year
She had a lot on her mind and she didn't pay attention
She was going way to fast
Before she knew it she was spinning on a thin black sheet of glass
She saw both their lives flash before her eyes
She didn't even have time to cry
She was sooo scared
She threw her hands up in the air

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this all on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel

It was still getting colder when she made it to the shoulder
And the car came to a stop
She cried when she saw that baby in the backseat sleeping like a rock
And for the first time in a long time
She bowed her head to pray
She said I'm sorry for the way
I've been living my life
I know I've got to change
So from now on tonight

Jesus take the wheel
Take it from my hands
Cause I can't do this all my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
To save me from this road I'm on

Oh, Jesus take the wheel
Oh, I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
Save me from this road I'm on
From this road I'm on
Jesus take the wheel
Oh, take it, take it from me
Oh, why, oh...
